I assert that there are some communications that are better received as a 140 character message. I am finding that Twitter is becoming an alternative to news radio, TV news and Internet news feeds for me. Here is a list of the tweets that I most enjoy receiving from Twitter:- breaking news alerts

- notices about contests, free stuff and giveaways
- reviews on local restaurants
- Snapple facts
- reminders for PBS TV shows that I might want to watch
- tweets that make me laugh---written intentionally and unintentionally
- tweets with links to more information
