What have I learned so far about minimizing my symptoms?

Today I promised to answer the question: What have I learned so far about minimizing these symptoms? Ironically, a huge headache has descended on me and my head feels like it is going to explode. So I get to tell you that, when I notice an increase in symptoms or a new symptom rears its ugly head, I stop what I am doing and rest. Period.

My headache is most probably the result of the transcranial doppler test and the 3 1/2 hours I spent at the doctor's office yesterday, which was well over my 4 hour maximum for activity. Which means extra rest for me today and a much shorter blog post for you, my readers. Because I have learned, if I don't stop and step back when symptoms start to get worse, this headache has the potential to last 7 days instead of a few hours.

Yes, I've endured a 7 day headache when I have pushed and crashed! I never want to have a headache like that ever again. So for now it's rest, rest, rest and a couple of Excedrin. That's my flare-up response routine.
