The Best Pun: Donate Blood, Starve a Vampire

This is National Blood Donor Month. So have you donated blood yet?

I found myself surfing around the Internet trying to find a widget to load on my blog to remind every one of this fact and came across a public service announcement (PSA) for the American Red Cross featuring the actors from my new favorite TV show, The Vampire Diaries. In the PSA, they say, in a very serious way, the line, "Donate blood, starve a vampire."

I laughed because I love puns!

But the need for blood donations is no laughing matter. Like they say in the PSA, "Someone needs blood every two seconds. The need is constant. It only takes an hour and the gratification is instant. " Since I cannot donate blood due to being HCV+, I would so appreciate it if you would donated blood in my place. This is a great way to make a charitable donation and it won't cost you a dime.
