Coming from someone who has been in that exact situation yrs ago (I am now on properly working medicine and see a social worker weekly, and am now considered in remission) I know, that at the moment that was what I wanted, but it was not what I wanted overall. I just wanted the pain at that moment to stop, and felt there was no other way, but thankfully, when I was able to snap out of it, I realized in a moment of dis pare, it truly wasn't what I wanted deep down.
